Upgrading From v1.x

Technically speaking you don't actually upgrade v1.x because v3.x installs to a different folder. So you can have both v1.x and v3.x on same machine at the same time. V2.x will use the dbwrench folder whereas v1.x used the dbwrenchapp folder.

You will use the same installation procedure as new installs do. Choose one of the following installation procedures below.

Config folder:
Once you have installed v2.x, copy the config folder from your 1.x installation folder to your 2.x installation folder. That way you won't have to re-enter your connection configuration information and re-set your preferences.

Shortcuts:
Also re-point your shortcuts to the new folder/executable file.
