Java 9 Incompatibility
DbWrench is built upon the NetBeans application framework, however NetBeans has not yet released a Java 9 compatible version therefore DbWrench will only run on Java 8.
Please install Java 8, if is not already installed on your system, and set DbWrench to use this Java version.
Java 8 can be downloaded from here.
- On Mac: Using Finder, navigate to the Applications folder and right click on DbWrench. Then select Show Package Contents and navigate to Contents/Resources/DbWrench/etc
- On Windows: Navigate to the /Program Files/DbWrench folder. Then select Show Package Contents and navigate to Contents/Resources/DbWrench/etc
- On Linux: Navigate to the DbWrench install folder. Select Show Package Contents and navigate to Contents/Resources/DbWrench/etc
- Open DbWrench.conf in a text editor.
- Change jdkhome path to your Java 8 installation path and remove the preceeding '#' if there is one. See the screenshot below but verify that this is the path to your Java 8 installation.
